The Shakopee Skate School offers group lessons for all levels using the Learn to Skate USA curriculum. The curriculum is endorsed by US Figure Skating, USA Hockey and US Speed Skating. We believe in having fun while learning the fundamentals of ice skating!
Little Gold Stars - Figure Skating
Little Gold Stars is as an introduction to competitive figure skating. The program offers group and private instruction on and off the ice in a fun, fast environment. All figure skaters within the Shakopee community, and non-community members, are welcome to join the Little Gold Stars-Figure Skating program.

Little Gold Stars occurs each Saturday from 8:00-8:45 AM off-ice and 9:00-9:45 AM on-ice year-round.
EVALUATIONS
Skaters may be auditioned or selected from our Learn to Skate programs to join the Little Gold Stars.
Throughout the term, skaters will be evaluated to scout for athletes who are ready to progress to the Junior Gold Stars program.
Evaluation of all skaters through report cards are typically conducted near term-end.
Pre-Requisite
Must be able to competently complete the elements in Basic 4 of the Learn to Skate USA program offered at Shakopee Skate School Learn to Skate.

Little Hockey Gold Stars
Little Hockey Gold Stars is for all Mite and Mini Mite hockey players. Get a step up on the competition with a high-energy power skating program! Through the class, the athletes will improve edges, balance, speed, strength and agility.
Junior Gold Stars
Junior Gold Stars is for young, auditioned skaters or Little Gold Stars graduates under 12 years old. Junior Gold Stars skaters follow a more advanced path and learn how to train for competitive figure skating. All figure skaters within the Shakopee community, and non-community members, are welcome to join the Junior Gold Stars program.

Introduction to Interpretive Skating
To supplement group instruction, each student has private or semi-private lessons with their designated coaching team.
Their coaching team guides their technique in jumping, spinning, stroking, dryland jumping and music program development. We encourage competitions, fun events and workshop opportunities throughout the year. It is at the Junior Gold Stars level where the passion of figure skating takes a new ownership!
When
Junior Gold Stars occurs each Saturday from 8:00-9:00 AM on-ice and 9:15-10:00 AM off-ice. It is a year-round program with full season registrations.

Skaters are auditioned or selected from our Little Gold Stars or Learn to Skate programs.

The Academy Program
The Academy is Go4Gold Skating Academy’s competitive figure skating program. Focused on helping each skater reach their individual goals, we feature a full day training program for all levels, beginner to elite.
The Academy is the only program of it’s kind in Minnesota. We provide an award-winning figure skating program focused on a progressive and advanced core learning curriculum for each competitive level. Advanced skating skills are taught in a positive and inspiring environment by our national and international level coaching staff.

Pre-requisites
All figure skaters within the Shakopee community, and non-community members, are welcome to join.
Open to skaters of all ages, from beginner to elite, who have submitted a Go4Gold Skating Academy application and have successfully auditioned.
Skaters must be accepted to the Go4Gold Skating Academy program within the Shakopee Skate School.
Successful applicants are devoted to achieving their high-level skating goals.

The Academy runs from 9:00 am-4:00 pm Monday to Friday*.
